Position SummaryThe Research Associate participates in ongoing laboratory research projects, performing and assisting in experiments on the cellular-molecular mechanisms of RPE–photoreceptor interactions.
Essential Functions
- Participates in ongoing laboratory research projects, performing and assisting in experiments on the cellular-molecular mechanisms of RPE–photoreceptor interactions.
- Oversees animal experimentation.
- Works under direct supervision of principal investigator.
- Assists in tutoring undergraduate students performing laboratory work.
The University may assign additional related duties as necessary.Management Responsibilities Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.
Additional FunctionsRequired Qualifications: Education and Experience
- BS in biology or related field required
- Up to 3 years of experience
- Prior experience in retinal biology research and small rodent handling and husbandry
- MS or PHD
Maximum Starting Salary $60,000
