Division Administrator Communications
About the Job: You will lead an administrative division to create and manage a team of professionals to drive internal and external communications and marketing strategies for Forest County Potawatomi Community. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Developing and overseeing a team of diversely skilled staff including communications, graphic, multimedia, web, and marketing experts.
Ensuring communication and marketing projects are completed on time and on budget.
Overseeing content development and brand integrity for all communication platforms including digital signage, social media, video, web, and print.
Creating and managing the communication department budget.
Coordinating the audio and video communication needs for FCPC events.
Collaborating with external entities to manage media relations and executive communications.
Building and implementing marketing and communication strategies for other FCPC departments.
Designing and implementing a Community Relations Program to engage community members.
Developing company-wide policies and procedures pertaining to communications.
Enforcing Forest County Potawatomi preference system in all hiring, training, and decisions such that all FCP Tribal members have first preference. Indians have second preference, spouses of tribal members have third preference, and individuals with Potawatomi ancestry or ties have fourth preference, to promote employees to ensure the future and welfare of the next generations.
Ensuring that qualified Forest County Potawatomi Community members be placed in training positions to manage all tribal departments and enterprises and to facilitate self-reliance and self-governance.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or similar field with 5 years of experience managing communications, marketing, and creative staff.
Ability to relate compelling stories both verbally and digitally, must be an excellent communicator.
Knowledge of creative tools necessary for the team to produce content.
Analytical skills to solve problems and creatively find the best way to convey messages.
Experience with a variety of digital and web platforms.
Ability to multi-task to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects for you and your team.
Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
