Forest View Hospital is Hiring a Recipient Rights Advisor/Executive Assistant Near Grand Rapids, MI

Responsibilities:
Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Recipient Rights Advisor/Executive Assistant.
The Recipient Rights Advisor/Executive Assistant is responsible for all Recipient Rights and Medical Staff Liaison processes. Additionally, this role assists the CEO with various administrative functions as needed.

Recipient Rights Advisor/Executive Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the hospital Recipient Rights advisor, (upon successful completion of required MDHHS training). Receives complaints concerning rights violations, conducts investigations and reports results according to state and hospital standards
  • Coordinate and participate in the Recipient Rights Advisory Committee
  • Trains and communicates with staff concerning patient rights, best practices, and collaborates for solutions to address patient grievance and complaints
  • Serves as the Medical Staff Liaison. Coordinates current medical provider schedules, meetings and provides for ongoing communication between hospital administration, staff and medical providers. This role is also responsible for Hospital bylaws, reviews including credentialing and ongoing collaboration with providers and facility
  • Coordinates for initial requests and ongoing management of the medical staff credentialing files and standards
  • Partners with Risk Management as assigned
  • Prepares and maintains hospital reports, reappointments and committee scheduling and minutes at the direction of the CEO
  • Participates in hospital committees as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate degree in business, communications, mental health or related field required. Bachelor's preferred but not required.
  • Previous Recipeint Rights experience preferred
  • Excellent computer, web browser and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and multi-tasking ability.
