The Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor is a working People Leader role which oversees the safety, quality and daily activities of the Warehouse and Logistics team and is an active participant of the direct warehouse work content.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSafety - Safety Champion for the Warehouse
  • Creates and models a safe working environment for all warehouse employees, visitors, suppliers and customers.
  • Responds, escalates and follows up on safety incidents.
  • Works with the EHS and your team to resolve potential safety issues.
  • Works with your team and EHS to ensure safe work practices, safe and secure transport and storage of materials during receiving, storage, delivery and shipment.
  • Ensures all equipment is safe and effective, properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
  • Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
Quality – Zero Defect Focus
  • Drives excellence through a combination of personal leadership, employee training and management structure.
  • Responsible to ensure all transactions made within the Warehouse are with high integrity and compliant with regulatory requirements including ISO 9001, Sarbanes Oxley, Trade Compliance, and OSHA
  • Oversees and monitors the daily and other periodic cycle counts for accurate and timely data entry.
  • Monitors and measures the Warehouse and Logistics team’s performance for accuracy of inventory, kitting, receiving, and shipping on-time delivery.
  • Maintains and develops work instructions under ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ensures that employees are properly trained and certified in their respective areas.
  • Resolves discrepancies with accounting personnel regarding inventory, work orders, sales orders or RMA's.
Leadership – A People Leader that is on the Floor
  • Uses a combination of on the floor presence, regular and frequent check-ins and Gemba walks to motivate employees and create a positive and supportive work environment as a part of executing work assignments.
  • Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Warehouse and logistic commitments in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Manages the performance and development of direct reports through training, coaching, informal feedback and individual performance appraisals.
  • Documents and disciplines as necessary.
  • Develops Warehouse Leads to effectively oversee the daily routines.
  • Interview, hires and trains a world-class staff.
  • Serve as an advocate for warehouse and logistics issues and represent their interests in staff-level forums.
  • Utilizes 6S practices to ensure a safe, clean and effective physical workplace.
Output – The flow of goods To, From and Within the Warehouse
  • This is a working position with supervisory responsibilities. You will be working a minimum of 50% and up to 75% on direct warehouse production duties.
  • Responsible for receiving, storage, kitting, shipping, inventory, and distribution of materials on the Beaverton campus.
  • Plans and coordinates work for all the warehouse employees.
  • Optimizes inventory management to maximize productivity for the areas in which you are responsible.
  • Assists in annual budgeting for the Warehouse/Logistics cost center, including changes to personnel and equipment.
  • Quickly and efficiently resolves issues with carriers.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Education, Experience And Skills Required
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management or related field. APICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role with direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with external customers and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to write in-depth work instructions and high-level operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in shipping, receiving, and inventory control and tracking
  • Aptitude with MS Office is required
  • Experience leading teams and directing cross-functional projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems. Experience with Oracle preferred.
  • Working knowledge of complying with SOX, Trade Compliance and ISO 9001 preferred.
  • Must be able to be forklift certified and be able to operate it safely.
  • Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs. regularly and 40 lbs. on occasion.
  • Duties routinely require standing, walking, pushing carts and pallet jacks. Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position resides in a warehouse and manufacturing setting. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; work on ladders; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces.
The pay range for this role inBeaverton, OR is between $64,200 and $84,210. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
