Exciting Opportunity: Staff Accountant II at Formosa Foods!

Join our team in Dallas, TX! Formosa Foods, a dynamic and expanding food service distributor, is currently seeking a talented, driven Staff Accountant II with 2-3 years of experience. Serving Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, we're a family-owned business that believes in growth, both for our company and our employees.

What You'll Do:

• Record, maintain, and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all types of transactions (purchases, sales, disposals...) are properly recorded, chart of accounts, bank transactions, prepare accounts reconciliations, and clear account errors.
• Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end close responsibilities.
• Monitor cash flow, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, prepare cash flow statements, and perform cash management and controls.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciations schedules for tax purposes.
• Oversee purchase order processing and manage 1099 processing.
• Assist in computing taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure taxes are paid properly and timely.
• Prepare consolidated internal/external financial statements and report financial information to the management team, summarizing the current and projected financial position.
• Produce financial data for the management team upon request and assist with other accounting projects.
• Review company accounting practices and recommend improvements.

What You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
