Pride Health is actively hiring Registered Dieticians for an on-site role in Hattiesburg, MS . This will start as a contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.
Duties:
- Under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Coordinator, serves as a member of the healthcare team who plans, directs, and implements nutrition intervention to patients based on specified assessment criteria.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, with awareness of the principles of growth and development and assessment of data reflective of the patient’s status to determine specific requirements and needs and responses.
- Collaborates with other healthcare team members to coordinate hospital therapy and plan post discharge care.
- Provides nutrition therapy and education to promote healthier life style.
- Maintains professionalism by providing all services in accordance with clinical standards.
- Serve as preceptor for dietetic interns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current license with the MS State Board of Health
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Work experience preferred in a healthcare facility
