As they reach to improve operations within Pricing and Merchandising , we are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Science to lead efforts in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and business growth.

Responsibilities:

Leadership : Provide strategic direction and leadership to the global data science team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Strategy Development : Develop and execute a comprehensive data science strategy aligned with business goals and objectives, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies. This role will primarily focus on the teams efforts within Pricing and Merchandising.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with other departments, including IT, marketing, operations, supply chain and finance, to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and solutions that drive business value.

Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and management of data assets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security standards are maintained.

Model Development : Lead the development and deployment of predictive models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to solve complex business problems and drive actionable insights.

Performance Monitoring : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data science initiatives, and regularly monitor and report on performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights and driving business impact.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within the retail, CPG, or E-commerce industry or a related field.
• Experience in developing and deploying Pricing and Merchandising solutions
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques, with experience using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and/or TensorFlow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
