Salary: $175,000 - $185,000 plus $15k bonus

Role Summary:

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations related to the stadium and commercial development projects. Responsibilities include financial reporting, cash flow management, budget monitoring, tax planning, and vendor payment processes. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners in a hybrid, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations:

• Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Oversee accounting systems and implement enhancements.
• Prepare and present financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Project Accounting & Budgeting:

• Lead accounting for the development project construction and operations.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and loan compliance for the stadium project.
• Support post-event settlements and cost analyses.

Cash Management:

• Manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and AR/AP ledgers.
• Optimize cash flow through effective working capital management.

Tax Management:

• Ensure timely tax filing in collaboration with tax advisors.
• Develop tax efficiency strategies for the project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s preferred); CPA required.
• 10 years of accounting experience, with managerial roles.
• Expertise in real estate or construction project accounting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting systems, and financial management.
