• Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use veterinary software for documenting medical notes
• Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
• Obtain laboratory sample collection (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
• Perform diagnostic imaging
• Prep patients for and assist in surgery
• Perform dental prophies
• Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
• Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
• Communicate with and educate clients
• Provide compassionate patient care
• Manage appointments - histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient dischargesRequired work and skills experience.
• High School diploma required
• Prior veterinary experience of 1 year required
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Salary dependent on experience
• State Registered Veterinary Technician preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
