Responsible for answering telephone calls and providing professional introduction for the department. Provides department support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists and directs the public, both calls and in person, to proper group.
• Performs typing tasks for staff members as needed.
• Maintains log of visitors and packages.
• Inputs data into computer as required.
• Uploads approved permits into system and issues to applicant.
• Collects fees and processes department deposits.
• Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• One year job related office/clerical experience.
• Strong computer and typing skills (minimum 35 WPM).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and deal effectively with the public and all levels of employees.

SALARY RANGE: $15.71 - $19.64 per hour based on qualifications
