Fort Kids Children’s Museum is Hiring a Development Director Near Fort Smith, AR

Development Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Development Director to join our team. The Development Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, and revenue generation to support our organization's mission and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit management, digital marketing, and software tools. This candidate will ideally be familiar with the mission and vision of Fort Kids and have the passion, dedication, heart and drive to help build Fort Kids.

Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet capital campaign goals

- Establishes long and short-term Development strategies and operational plans to support organizational health and effectiveness, and Fort Kids’ mission and values

- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to secure funding

- Manage donor database including data collection, analysis, and reporting

- Utilize Canva and Publisher to create and update development materials

- Implement digital marketing campaigns to increase visibility and engagement

- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns that drive donations

- Utilize software tools such as Bloomerang, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and Raiser Edge for effective communication and donor management

- Oversees the development and writing of foundation, corporate and government proposals and solicitation materials

- Supports prospect research

- Keeps informed of developments in philanthropy and fund development as well as the general fields of management and the not-for-profit sector

- Informs the Executive Director, Development Committee, board, and Senior Team on current trends, issues, problems, and activities in order to facilitate policy making

- Works alongside the community outreach committees and the Chair of Outreach

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Nonprofit Management)

- Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising and development

- Strong understanding of databases and data collection techniques

- Proficiency in Canva and Publisher for updating and creating development materials

- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools

- Familiarity with software applications like Bloomerang, Canva, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and Raiser Edge

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
