ENTERPRISE: Yavapai Materials JOB TITLE: Wash Plant Operator JOB CODE: 917 DEPARTMENT CODE: 081000 REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor SALARY: DOE POSITION STATUS: Regular Full-Time, FLSA NON-EXEMPT HOURS PER WEEK: 40 Monitors and performs all duties associated with operating an aggregate washing plant. QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES: Perform labor tasks including shoveling material as needed. Collect, remove, and dispose of trash both in buildings and on the grounds. Minor repair jobs, as directed by supervisor. Basic maintenance tasks of equipment and structures include but are not limited to Cleaning, greasing, screen changing, and all other normal tasks associated with operating a wash plant. Removing weeds and clipping brush on the grounds. Record and Report daily production outputs as well as daily plant inspections. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical. Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing 50- 75 pounds. Must have a basic understanding of wash plant operations and general material analysis and gradations. Must be 18 years of age. Able to complete initial MSHA training. Must wear suitable work attire including safety-toed boots. Exposure to extreme dust and heat, as well as wet and cold conditions. Other tasks may be directed by the supervisor. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of wash plant operations or related sand and gravel operations. Basic knowledge of material washing and screening. MSHA Part-46 Training Experience. INDIAN PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.
