POSITION: BLACKJACK PIT SUPERVISOR

DEPARTMENT: Table Games

REPORTS TO: Table Games Shift Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for effective operation of the table games area by supervising dealers and ensuring asset protection and game integrity. Ensures that table games are in regulatory compliance with the Tribal Gaming Office, State Gaming Authority and Internal Controls while demonstrating the We-Ko-Pa Way at all times. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent and three-year dealing experience and or one year supervisor experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way

Accountable to all standards outlined in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.

Responsible for the overall operations of all table gaming including each pit per shift and personnel record keeping. 

Implements and ensures compliance with department, casino, and gaming regulatory policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Responsible for maintaining inventory and making recommendations for purchasing gaming equipment and supplies.

Promote teamwork and create a fun, friendly, and inviting atmosphere that encourages mutual respect amongst all team members.

Must utilize basic strategy and warning signs of advantage play to identify the possibility of advantage players.

Monitors daily and weekly schedules for dealers and supervisors.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers Excel, Word, and enterprise-specific programs. 

Responsible for evaluating and training all dealers and supervisors to increase both guest service and job skill levels.

Must have knowledge of every game offered in our jurisdiction. 

Must have in-depth knowledge (acquired within six months) and a thorough understanding of Policies and Procedures, and governmental regulations, relevant to their responsibilities, such as the following:

Arizona State Gaming Compact Appendices F (1) and H

U.S. Treasury Bank Secrecy Act (with regards to title 31 and suspicious activity reports pertaining to casino activity)

Must be able to accurately identify the value of a guest based on the guest's play.

Advisory for hiring and disciplinary actions.

Takes disciplinary actions when necessary, towards Table Games Dealers and Table Games Supervisors.

Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.

Must be 21 or older.

Performs other related duties as required.

Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100.

Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

WORK CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Sitting, balancing, bending, standing, stooping, twisting, and walking for 67-100% of the workday.

Eye/Hand coordination and wrist motion for 67-100% of the workday. 

Reach for 34-66% of the workday. 

While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
