POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the general ledger and assisting in the monthly closing, reconciliation, and review process. The position will make use of an applicant's technical solid accounting, analytical problem solving, and organizational skills, all with a strong understanding of confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to reconcile all classifications of balance sheet accounts, including cash accounts; inventory accounts; payable accounts; fixed asset accounts; and liability accounts.

Ability to process monthly journal entries and participate in facilitating the monthly closing process.

Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.

Acts as a backup for all aspects of the accounting process: including but not limited to payables, revenue audit, and payroll.

Performs other related duties as required.

Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.

Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Minimum Qualifications/Education:

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting.

Minimum of 3 years of applicable accounting experience in the gaming industry and hospitality environment.

Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience.

Intermediate/advanced Excel, report writing, and database skills. 

Revenue Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll experience required.

Experience with accurate and dependable daily reporting.
