Summary:

The Computer Science intern will be involved in research, development, and problem solving, helping to shape the future of technology at Fort Myer Construction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to support project development,
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues,
  • Participate in coding, testing, and documentation of software components,
  • Analyze and interpret data to generate insights and support decision-making,
  • Work on cross-functional projects and contribute to team discussions,
  • Learn and apply computer science principles to solve complex problems,
  • Support implementation of software application changes,
  • May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends,
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field,
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C , or similar,
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities,
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities,
  • Comfort working across multiple business teams, including both technical and non-technical partners,
  • COVID-19 vaccination is highly recommended,
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening.
