Job Summary
Fortified Health Security is healthcare’s recognized leader in cybersecurity – protecting patient data and reducing risk throughout the Fortified ecosystem. We provide a wide variety of purpose-built services to help healthcare organizations evaluate their unique risk appetite, strengthen their cybersecurity posture, and improve operations along their security journey. In this role as Manager, Business Development, the candidate chosen will be responsible for leading a team responsible for sales and revenue growth through designated outbound activities. The Manager, Business Development will bring high energy, initiative, and seek to be on the front lines managing a team driving lead generation, qualification of opportunities, and ultimately providing these leads to our Enterprise Regional Directors and Mid-Market Account Executives for conversion of opportunities to meet Fortified’s revenue growth targets.
Essential Job Functions

  • Lead a Business Development team that is responsible for the following.
  • Collaborating closely with Enterprise Regional Directors and Mid-Market Account Executives to execute outbound playbooks at scale. 
  • Strategically contacting accounts to qualify and schedule discovery calls and demos for Enterprise Regional Directors and Mid-Market Account Executives that initiate a qualified opportunity.
  • Building relationships with prospects and executing organized follow-up with the Fortified sales tech stack to create a robust pipeline.
  • Meet weekly and monthly metrics to assist in growing revenue in assigned territories. 
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to execute strategic campaigns and attend conferences and events to generate interest/develop leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute custom outreach based on ongoing initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills
Education & Experience
  • 7 years in a Business Development role.
  • A minimum of 3 years leading a team of Business Development representatives.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, a B2B contact database, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is required.
  • Experience prospecting into healthcare technology departments within the healthcare vertical is required.
  • Experience in outbound sales, qualifying leads, and positioning security products/services.
  • Must have achieved quota attainment in prior roles and led a team that achieved quota attainment.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Special Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to provide strong team management and direction to the Business Development team, driving consistent and scalable growth.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and expand customer base.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to position our company’s offerings effectively.
  • Ability to identify and build relationships with key leaders and identify opportunities based on prospects' pain points. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven with a strong work ethic and a desire to lead and grow a team.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Curiosity and passion for cybersecurity services and a demonstrated commitment to the industry.
  • Approaching the sales workflow with a sense of urgency and a hunger to excel in the role is a requirement of this role.
