This position in our growing physician enterprise practice offers an excellent opportunity for candidates who are interested in a consulting career focused on advising physician enterprise decision-makers with compensation design, complex transactions and arrangements, operational performance improvement, governance and compliance, and other problem-solving and needs fulfillment matters.
How You Will Contribute
- Supervising data acquisition, validation, benchmarking, and analytical work for a wide variety of purposes, such as operational consulting, compensation compliance (including fair market value studies) and design, and transactions
- Use industry knowledge, benchmarking, and facts and circumstances discovery, and complete and document data normalizations
- Leading various strategic, operational and financial analyses as related to employed physicians and independent group practices
- Leading in the creation of project-related provisions such as project plans, implementation plans, communication plans, and financial models, and creating and delivering presentations
- Driving solution implementations
- Commitment to engaging in Forvis Mazars' unmatched client service culture
- Ability to elevate analytical work to convey outcomes, implications, and next steps to executive decision-makers, both verbally and in presentations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- An inner desire to learn and grow in a team-focused environment
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or other related degree
- 5 years or more of experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare accounting or healthcare operations experience
- Business acumen related to strategic provider alignment, compliance risk, and operational excellence for physician enterprise
- Strong working knowledge of three or more of the following:
- Fair Market Value for provider services arrangements
- Breadth of hospital-physician services arrangements
- Provider employment arrangements and the various pay types and pay methodologies
- Clinic operations
- Physician reimbursement mechanisms and methodologies,
- Regulatory environment (such as the Physician Self-Referral Law)
- Knowledge/Experience in the areas of academic medicine, children's hospitals, cancer care, business valuation, due diligence, physician needs, physician recruiting, RHC/FQHCs, trauma programs, billing and coding, bundled payment and other value-based reimbursement programs, revenue cycle, EMR utilization, and similar.
