Job Title: Audio/Visual Technician - ONSITE, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Audio/Visual Technician to join our team. This role involves managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio and visual systems and equipment to support operations and events. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and a keen ability to solve problems in real-time, ensuring that all audio and visual presentations are delivered with high quality.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair audio and visual equipment, including sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with A/V equipment and software.
Operate A/V systems for live events and organizational functions.
Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure equipment longevity.
Work collaboratively with team members to manage setups for events and meetings.
Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies related to A/V equipment.
Provide technical support and training to users on operating A/V equipment effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or college training preferred.
Proven experience as an A/V technician or similar role.
Strong understanding of audio and video systems and components.
Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, and control system problems.
Comfortable with modern office software and A/V control software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Desired Skills:
Experience with digital sound boards, microphones, projectors, video cameras, and related A/V technology.
Technical certifications related to A/V systems are a plus.
Proficiency in the use of power tools and electronic test equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
Compensation and Benefits:Salary: $65000 - $72000 / year
