FORZA Education Management is Hiring a School Receptionist Near Naples, FL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage student files including student enrollment records, medical records, achievement records, and other appropriate student data required
  • Maintain accurate student classroom transfer information within the school
  • Administer medication, only if required, and only as expressly outlined in Student Handbook. Keep all medications locked and maintain all medical documentation, including, but not limited to, dosages, parent consent letters, doctors’ consent letters, etc. No over the counter (ie. Tylenol, Neosporin, Advil, Motrin, other) or other medications may be dispensed to students or staff ever without express written consent of a physician.
  • Ensure completeness of enrollment packets and accompanying required registration document, including, but not limited to, proof of residency, student immunization, birth certificate, social security number, and proof of custody.
  • Forward all inquiries from any news media (radio, television, newspaper, other) directly to Superintendent. Notify Superintendent and Principal immediately upon calls, visits or inquiries.
  • Understand and implement positive, de-escalation strategies with unhappy parents, vendors, staff, students, others and never escalates a situation unnecessarily
  • Report parent or other complaints immediately to the Principal. Uses appropriate documentation/form to report how complaints were resolved and to whom they were referred. Makes serious complaints known immediately to Director
  • Mail home all pertinent letters to parents and students as required by Principal and Superintendent, including, but not limited to, summer enrollment, confirmation letters, open house notifications, HQT letters, Title I program notifications letters, student absences/truancy notifications
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all affiliated public school transportation offices. Complied with transportation office requests for forms, calendars, routing information, student information, etc., regarding student transportation
  • Report any known facilities concerns to Principal, ie., leak in the bathroom, broken fixtures, etc.
  • Read and understand all policies outlined in staff handbook and student handbook/code of conduct
  • Other duties are assigned by Principal, Assistant Principal, Superintendent, President, or management staff

Daily Duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer school phones in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure safety and security of the building by requiring that ALL VISITORS SIGN IN AND CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING THROUGH THE BUILDING, INCLUDING VOLUNTEER (S), PARENT (S), VENDORS, OTHERS. Ensure that parents or others do not visit classrooms without an appointment or express consent from classroom teacher or Principal.
  • Follows school dress code at all times
  • Keeps office hours per employment contract
  • Refrains from “gossip”, sharing salary, student disability or medical condition, or any other personal, financial, medical or similarly sensitive information with staff, parents, and/or students
  • Maintains clean, uncluttered work area and creates/maintains attractive entry area or waiting area for parents and visitors at all times
  • Maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders in the school, including parents, guardians, staff, students, community organizations, the school’s Sponsor/Authorizer, management team members, the Principal, Superintendent, ODE reps, etc.
  • Reports to Principal staff tardies (those reporting after 7:30 a.m. or as prescribed by Principal)

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED. Previous school experience preferred. Skilled person able to handle multiple tasks and assignments. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
