The role of the Classroom Special Education Teacher is to manage the day-to-day routine of a classroom, working with students who are blind or visually impaired in a private day setting. The Classroom Special Education Teacher adapts and modifies curriculum for students with a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Teaching all academic skills, such as literacy, mathematics and science along with communication techniques, to students with severe disabilities. The Classroom Special Education Teacher will collaborate with the Teacher of the Visually Impaired and the related service team to create meaningful activities for all students.
