Charles Major Manor is a Retirement Housing Foundation community designed especially for seniors and persons with disabilities. We are seeking an individual to fill the position of Housekeeping/Janitor. Candidate must have good work experience in this specific field. Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Self starter
• Able to work alone
• Complete general housekeeping in all common areas on a daily basis
• Assist maintenance person as needed
• Complete in-depth cleaning on transfers and move-ins/outs
• Assist on grounds as needed
• Maintain and update inventory of supplies and equipment
• Report any problems, deficiencies or breakage immediately to Manager
• Follow preventive housekeeping/maintenance schedule and keep up to date
• Assist with apartment inspections and and annual apt upkeep items
• Able to stoop, bend, squat, and lift up to 50#
• Able to climb ladder and stairs
• Clean overhead light fixtures per schedule
• Assist in disposal of trash
• Able to communicate and interact with senior and disabled community
• Inspect lighting interior, exterior, and emergency exit hallways lighting fixtures
• Daily cleaning to include, but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, cleaning community bathrooms, etc.

Perform Daily Cleaning Tasks In Assigned Areas Such As

• Offices
• Lobbies, Entry, Elevators
• Restrooms
• Community Room and Kitchen
• Laundry Rooms
• Trash Rooms

Other Areas To Be Maintained

• Hallways (including lobby in each hall)
• Stairwells
• Elevator Tracks

Experience Required

• 2 year(s): Housekeeping Experience

Preferred

• Good housekeeping skills and knowledge

Education Required

• High School or better
