Purpose of the Position: To develop, plan and implement appropriate occupational therapy based therapeutic programs and improve the school educational experience of the students in our partner District.

Job Group Classification: Foundations

Overtime Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $50 - $55 per hour

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain attendance and hourly contact records (e.g., therapy logs)
• Observation, screening, evaluation, and consultation for students who require or may require OT services
• Write appropriate, evidence-based goals and objectives
• Maintain effective working relationships with other special education personnel as well as regular education personnel and parents
• Provide direct services to students
• Provide services in collaborative model
• Expertise with assistive technology

Minimum Skills or Qualifications:

• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy program
• School Experience Preferred
• Hold a current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Licensed in the State of Arizona by the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
• Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
• Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
• The noise intensity level is moderate to high
