FOUNDATIONS PROGRESSIVE LEARNING CENTER, INC. is Hiring a Childcare Provider Near Lincoln, NE

Foundations Progressive Learning Center is a childcare facility that cares for up to 40 children at a time. We are a play-based, child-led program, so expect a high-energy, dynamic atmosphere of children being children, making messes, and exploring freely within reasonable boundaries monitored by... you!

We're looking for a childcare teacher for our Preschool class, working with a small group of children aged 3 years to 4 years. Someone with an open mind, open heart, and the patience and willingness to always be gentle, kind, loving, and protective of the children that families place in our care. If you're used to environments where the children are to be controlled made to do teacher-led craft activities or worksheets, this will be a culture shock for you, but it doesn't disqualify you. We're willing to train and educate anyone with the motivation to be part of our family, but an inherent belief that children are to be valued as they are now is a must.

Emotional intelligence is important to us, so we believe that instilling self-discipline in children is best. We do this by approaching challenging behaviors mindfully, calmly, and with compassion. We want to respond to conflict and issues that arise between children, rather than just react. For this reason, we are looking for someone who has the ability to exhibit impeccable self-control.

This shift is Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm. Duties include lesson planning within our play-based curriculum, leading the group with provided relative materials, managing and documenting children’s progress, assisting with meals and recesses, providing and leading afternoon activities, and speaking with families as they pick up their children.

All staff need to be 19 years of age or older and able to pass background checks, and we require all staff to be 100% vaccinated against COVID-19.
