DESCRIPTION: The Automation Engineer is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry's most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the VP of AI, the Automation Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions to streamline our AI and blockchain processes.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain automated systems for AI model deployment, smart contract execution, and data processing. Set up CI/CD pipelines, ensure system security and compliance, and optimize performance and scalability, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and document these solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design, develop, and deploy automation frameworks and tools to streamline processes within AI and blockchain projects.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts and suites to ensure the reliability and quality of software releases.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Continuously monitor automated processes and infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate automation solutions seamlessly into workflows.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in automation engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
  • Experience provisioning datacenter grade hardware on-premises or using cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge regarding cryptocurrency and/or blockchain principles.
  • Passion for decentralization and exploring new technologies.

The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
