Position: Manufacturing Technician

Position Type: Full-Time, On-site

Location: Billings, MT

Role and Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects and contributing to our commitment of excellence. You will be responsible for the assembly of subassemblies and other system components that will be integrated into our line of cryogenic systems. The roles and responsibilities for the position are provided in detail below:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the assembly, calibration, and testing of cryostat systems.
• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering drawing and schematics and understand commonly used technical terms.
• Collaborate regularly with other departments and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform part cleaning to ensure and to maintain the quality of components used in production.
• Gain hands-on experience in soldering techniques used in cryostat assembly.
• Participate in the kitting and building of product sub-assemblies, following established guidelines and procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required: AA degree preferred
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies and devices.
• Fundamental math and measurement skills.
• Basic understanding and experience with optical sources, power meters, and lab test equipment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and precision task execution.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
