What you will do?ResponsibilitiesAs a Youth Counselor you will provide direct care services and coverage to meet the needs of our clients in an all female unit. This includes but is not limited to ensuring safety & supervision, skill building, processing & support, behavioral management and communications within the team. Specific responsibilities include:
Provide consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior.
Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self correct.
Provide supervision and treatment intervention.
Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
Serving a positive role model and agent of change for the youth.

What You NeedYou will need to be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED to qualify. A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field of study is preferred. Additional requirements include:
Desire to help kids succeed
Prior experience working with children in a school or mental health setting preferred
Strong communication and problem solving abilities
