Assistant Director of Housekeeping

About the role:

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping will assist in the manage ment of staff and control the activities of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments, ensuring that our Guest Rooms, Public Areas, Employee Areas and Linens meet the highest standards of cleanliness. They will monitor the employee activities to ensure standards are being met and staff members are supported.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with contract companies and seasonal workforce to ensure delivery of quality products and meeting Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts standards.

  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

  • Assist in processing payroll and adhering to budgeted labor standards.

  • Assist in m onitoring and controlling inventory and divisional expenses such as uniforms, linens, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and contract services.

  • The ability to interview and select job applicants as well as effectively supervise, discipline, mentor and give performance evaluations for employees and convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.

  • The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes and ways to increase guest satisfaction and service standards.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in Rooms Division, two years experience in Housekeeping and Laundry .

  • Must have working knowledge of computers and systems, previous hotSOS , REX, ADP and Birchstreet experience preferred.

  • A proven record of scheduling staff and completing payroll records and reports in accordance with budgeted guidelines.

  • Thorough knowledge of luxury resort standards preferred.

  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States .

Schedule & Hours:

  • This is a full-time position .

  • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, and the ability to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays .
