Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role involves coordinating staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Here’s the gig:

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in developing and implementing operational plans and procedures.
• Supervise and motivate restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
• Ensure that all staff members are trained and knowledgeable about menu items, service standards, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with inventory management and cost control.
• Assist with scheduling and timekeeping for restaurant staff.
• Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant computer software, e.g., POS systems, inventory management software.
