Job Purpose: Manages and maintains client business relationships; meets and exceeds sales projections.

Successful candidate will be an extensive experienced merchant, having been a DMM, Retail Buyer or Assistant Buyer in any of these categories: Hardlines, Softlines, Home, Housewares, Consumables, Seasonal, Toys.

 Duties:

• Supervises account team consisting of Assistant Account Executive(s) and Administrative Assistant(s).
• Regularly surveys the marketplace - identify trends in products, features, designs, color and sales; preparing and disseminating this data.
• Works closely and effectively with the merchandising, illustrators, graphic design and product development teams to create cohesive product line offerings.
• Reviews consumer data reports, sell thru data and presentations compiled by account team.
• Reviews and provides marketing tracking and research information by reviewing, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Reviews market surveys gathered by team’s data from store visits store circulars/flyers, online shopping, etc. – compiles this data, consolidating, formatting, and summarizing information into concise presentations; distributing reports and reviewing market surveys from colleagues.
• Reviews and prepares presentations by assembling quotations, proposals, samples and product capabilities, compiling account and competitor analyses.
• Makes direct presentations to buyers and management at national chains.
• Reviews sales team’s follow up and tracking purchase orders, packaging approval, sample approval, third party testing reports, shipments and related communication with our retail customers and our domestic and international offices.
• Updates job knowledge by reviewing trade publications and staying current with market research and industry trends.
• Accomplishes marketing and sales organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
• Supervises account team consisting of assistant account executive(s) and administrative assistant(s)
• Reports to Senior Account Executive

The position requires national and international travel.

Salary: Negotiable, plus bonus potential. Relocation assistance negotiable.
