Our client, a leading Contemporary Women’s brand, is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design and Production teams to ensure effective communication with all factories.
• Prioritize daily and seasonal workload based on fabric/garment delivery, meeting weekly and seasonal deadlines.
• Attend initial Design handoffs for new products, complete proto specs, and update Product for SMS launch.
• Interface with overseas factories to convey fit and construction corrections.
• Spec & prep garments prior to fitting, and take on additional projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of Technical Design Experience in a SKU intensive environment.
• 6 years of experience in soft dressing technical design and pattern making.
• Experience in Women's RTW ; Sportswear & Dresses a plus
• Strong knowledge of pattern making, grading, garment construction, sewing, technical drawing, measuring, and fitting.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office & G-Suite.
• Strong sense of urgency, expert time management skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in RLM system and print design is preferred.

Salary: $85,000-$115,000 Commensurate with experience
