Our client, a well known swimwear manufacturer in NYC, is looking for a creative Swim Designer to join their toddler/ girls team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the seasonal product design execution to achieve overall creative and business objectives
• Complete hand sketching/ CADs (Adobe Suite) alongside creative team & make updates as needed
• Develop color cards & mood boards
• Complete sample requests & BOM updates
• Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials, and styling
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
• Support in fittings
• Create design cards for first protos, including measurements and construction details

Skills Needed:

• High taste level and creative ability
• 5 years of experience needed
• Ability to conduct color/print research
• Knowledge of seasonal styles and color trends
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Skilled with Excel and PLM
• Strong portfolio showing design skills
