Our client is seeking a Technical Designer to join the team on a contract basis in their New York office! This is for Women's Dress Shoes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop CADs, design specs, and line art.
• Participate in all fittings.
• Be able to work on various projects at once.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to develop and edit designs.
• Maintain data tracking in internal system (PLM & Excel).
• Collaborate with various staff/cross functional teams in creating boards, decks, and other deign specs as needed.
• Keep seasonal colors, pallets and standards up to date in necessary work spaces.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience as a technical designer in a corporate setting within women's dress shoes.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design
• Knowledge of garment construction methods.
• Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook Express.
• Ability to evaluate fit problems on live models
• Understanding of Grade Rules
