Foxconn EV System LLCMetal Stamping EngineerFSLA Status:ExemptLocation:Lordstown, OHReports To: Engineering ManagerPrimary Function:This individual will be the metal stamping expert with tooling dies, stamping presses, workflow process, end of arm tooling, and quality. Duties And Responsibilities
Determines what equipment, materials, tooling, methods of manufacture and facilities are required for production.
Develops tooling layouts for stamping dies.
Troubleshoot progressive stamping dies.
Work directly with tool designers and product engineers to develop new and more efficient dies to replace aging tooling.
Develops drawings and other engineering documentation to improve processes and product quality.
Provides technical support for cost-saving projects.
Analyzes specifications and drawings to ensure that products are manufactured to the customer’s requirements, and reviews statistical process control data to recommend appropriate actions.
Works with product engineering in the design phase of new products and redesign of existing products to ensure product manufacturability.
Develops standardized work instruction, setup procedures and supporting documentation.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering supportive of Manufacturing, and/or 15 years manufacturing experience.
Required Experience
5 years or more of experience in manufacturing engineering with an emphasis on metal stamping.

Subject matter expert of metal stamping
Leadership and teamwork skills.
Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques – tooling, metal stamping, assembly and testing.
Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a metal stamping manufacturing environment.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide range of individuals from varying economic, social, and educational backgrounds in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical, time management and analysis skills
Professional and technical knowledge via educational workshops, reviewing professional/trade publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Understanding how to read blueprints.
Working knowledge of computer software (MS Office): Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Understanding of tool design and process development.
Experience in CAD programs, Catia/SolidWorks preferred.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability is required.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement activities.
