WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Under the direction of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT I perform delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care.
  • PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs);
  • limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting;

answering call-lights, telephone, Vocera.

  • Surgical Patients
  • Cardiac, Respiratory and Medical Patients
  • Post Stroke and TIA patients
  • Post Cath lab without intervention
  • Patient Care Assistant to patient Ratio 1 : 8-10
  • Shifts are 12 hours. 7-7 with a weekend and holiday rotation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred High School Diploma / GED
  • 1 year Healthcare experience as a patient care technician or similar position Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - .
  • Franciscan Patient Care Assistant Program (FPCAP) - Franciscan Alliance
