TheProject Manager (PM) is responsible for leading, managing and overseeing all activities on assigned projects. The PM is the representative of the project in the office, acting as the primary advocate and point of contact for the client. The PM is responsible for overall project performance including quality, budget, and schedule. This position leads their team of engineering staff to ensure the facilitation of a project's completion on-time, on/under-budget, and meeting FSB's quality standards. The PM is responsible for directing and overseeing the implementation of improved discipline production tools, standards, and processes. The PM communicates with and coordinates production processes and personnel skill development with the Director of Civil Engineering.
During a project lifecycle, the PM shepherds an engineering project through the project production phases including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. The PM communicates with the civil production staff through a project's Programming and Schematic Design phases coordinating the design vision and intent with their project team. In addition, they work with the other A&E Project Managers to ensure the FSB engineering production work under their supervision aligns with the expectations of the client.
