Bankruptcy Boarding Analyst Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Bankruptcy Analyst is responsible for working directly with in-house & outside counsel, senior management and investors while making decisions and providing resolutions regarding bankruptcy issues to minimize risks and mitigate loss outside of their delegated authority. Provide management with status updates and to ensure compliance with all agency and investor guidelines. Responsible for ensuring the Bankruptcy Process is completed accurately in adherence to bankruptcy law and investor timelines by acting as a liaison between Franklin Credit Management Corporation and outside counsel.
Essential Job Duties:
Perform timely follow up with attorneys and bankruptcy trustees, follow up timely for hearings, discharges and critical steps and request referrals on delinquent bankruptcies and status updates.
· On board newly filed Bankruptcy cases into system of record
· Prepare and request referrals for outside counsel and follow up on all accounts daily/monthly to ensure compliance with standard bankruptcy court deadlines and timelines
· Review and process incoming mail from multiple inboxes (electronic and paper) properly documenting what was received and method of receipt
· Ensure accounts are properly documented with actions taken, correspondence, and
· explanation of action or no action.
· Coordinate and handle requests for collateral documents that are required for the Bankruptcy process
· Moving discharged/dismissed accounts to foreclosure review or collections, prepare equity analysis with detail and accuracy
· Working knowledge of mortgage banking, familiarity with CFPB, RESPA, FDCPA & federal and state laws related to legal.
· Update databases to ensure information is accurate, complete, and accessible. Maintain records and files. Perform periodic analyses and review of data. Investigate questionable items.
· Develop a strong working relationship with network of outside counsel, bankruptcy trustees, debtors’ attorney and inhouse counsel
· Provide assistance in special projects as assigned.
Minimum requirements
Knowledge of collateral documents.
Skills and training
This is not a hybrid position; all hires must be able to work in the office five days per week.
