We are growing our programs and offerings both inside and outside our campus, implementing innovative methods to create community, and building on our culture of excellence.
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing a complex, bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees, maintaining the accuracy and scheduling of payroll in the payroll software in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Here's what you'll do:

  • Process biweekly payroll.
  • Prepare and document manual checks (termination, severance etc.) as requested.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Colorado wage and hour regulations and laws.
  • In collaboration with Controller and CFO, prepares and maintains pay policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and settle disputes involving possible errors in payroll system in a timely manner.
  • Provide support and training to staff and managers in payroll/time management system.
  • Maintain and update payroll database as needed.
  • Prepare audit summaries, wage reports and surveys.
  • Prepare various payroll adjustments, including, but not limited to garnishments and employee benefits.
  • Coordinate with the HR Department to ensure the integrity of payroll data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, and rate changes. Make updates as necessary.
  • Coordinate PBJ (Payroll Based Journal) reporting process to ensure timely report submission to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)
  • Prepare payroll and other related journal entries.
  • Generate and distribute various payroll reports.
  • Process 401K contributions, upload funds to 401K vendor, troubleshoot, research, resolve or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Enter employees into the meal program.
  • Prepare & process special payrolls such as the annual bonus.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy in all matters

Here's what you'll need:

  • Two-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience in computerized payroll functions.
  • Experience with Ultimate software preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, regulations and laws.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Proficient with systems/technology.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Outlook.

Pay Range: $25.60-$32.40 per hour
