Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, excellent litigation and negotiation skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of employers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Counsel: Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on various labor and employment matters, including workplace policies, employee relations, compliance, and risk management.
- Litigation: Represent clients in labor and employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and other related matters in federal and state courts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure clients are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws.
- Policy Development: Assist clients in developing, implementing, and updating employment policies, handbooks, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients on various labor and employment topics, including harassment prevention, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations.
- Negotiation: Negotiate and draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
- Mediation and Arbitration: Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings to resolve employment disputes efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- CA License or ability to obtain CA License within 1 year
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and maintaining client confidentiality.
