Free People is seeking a Temporary Assistant Design Coordinator who will support the FP Movement Print and Color Team with administrative duties and tasks as needed in support of the creation, development and execution of own brand product design and development. This is a temporary role - 3 Month Assignment.
Role Responsibilities

• Support seasonal development calendar in partnership with designer/buyers/technical designers/production.
• Execute specific design development projects as assigned by Designer and manage development and execution of trim and artwork packages.
• Prepare development packages and participate in follow up communication related to each package.
• Review incoming color dips with Designer to ensure they are correct and in line with original intent as well as brand standards.
• Organize color dips by labeling and cutting swatches and keeping visual references up to date.
• Perform special tasks as needed.

Role Qualifications

• Design tools: Procreate, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience putting together artwork and embellishment packages preferred
• Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners.
• Strong organizational and relationship building skills and ability to intuitively respond and reprioritize as needs shift during the development process.
• Self starter with a bias for action
