About the Role:

Freedom Property Investors seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Family Trust and Individual Accountant to manage and oversee all accounting and tax-related matters for the directors' family trusts and SMSFs (Self-Managed Superannuation Funds). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in individual tax planning and compliance and experience in handling the complexities of family trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting and tax-related matters for the directors' family trusts and SMSFs.
• Handle individual tax returns and planning for the directors.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and statements as needed.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the directors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 1 - 2 years of experience as an accountant, preferably with experience in handling family trusts, SMSFs, and individual tax matters.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Xero and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Has a strong personality, demonstrating confidence, assertiveness, and the ability to take initiative in financial management and advisory roles.
