Job Summary:
As an Accounting Associate I at Freeland Chevy Superstore, you will play an integral role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and finance tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reports. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in the automotive industry. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Nashville, Tennessee and reports to the Controller.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $24 per hour, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match. Employees also have access to discounts on vehicle purchases and services.
Responsibilities:
•Perform bank and account reconciliations
•Maintain accurate and organized financial records
•Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
•Prepare and analyze financial reports
•Process vehicle inventory acquisitions
•Adhere to accounting policies and procedures
•Support other areas of the accounting department as needed including filing
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
•1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the automotive industry
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
•Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
•Excellent communication and organizational skills
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
•Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
•Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
