What You Will Do
- Perform varied accounts payable/receivable or payroll duties assuring the maintenance of proper operations and accurate records.
- Process purchase orders, verifies accounts payable invoices, ensures timely and correct payments and maintains vendor files.
- Process and accounts for monies in accounts receivable/payable area, monitors departmental budgets, prepares checks, and reports cash flow needs for payment of invoice/bills.
- Create and maintains PC spreadsheets to ensure proper tracking of funds and prepares monthly reports.
- Prepare bank deposits and daily cash balance reports, reconciles bank statements and prepares compliance reports.
- May process payroll documents, confirming timesheets and overtime, verifying deductions, charging appropriate accounts, maintaining records of leave accrual and payment of insurance premiums.
- May answer complaints and questions from the general public.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable and Payroll
- Knowledge of basic Accounting or Business practices and methods
- Knowledge of standard computer software, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications
- Knowledge of public relations/customer service principles, practices and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- High School diploma or GED
