Freese and Nichols, Inc. is currently searching for a highly motivated, innovative, experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager (seller-doer) to join our North Texas Transportation Design Group. The ideal candidate will serve as a project manager responsible for performing routine and complex engineering work for state and local government transportation and infrastructure projects including roadways, highways, and freeways in both rural and urban settings.

**Primary Responsibilities**

* Prepare design calculations, design drawings, and specifications necessary for most economical method of construction. Seal drawings and reports as required.

* Perform independent studies and prepare reports of results and conclusions in a clear, concise manner. Direct other engineers and technicians on assigned tasks and review and evaluate their results. Present and deliver final reports to clients.

* Maintain and utilize working knowledge of accepted engineering design standards and practices in the execution of design work that will meet the clients needs and conform to firm standards.

* Coordinate the work of drafting personnel; technicians, or other engineers on technical matters pertinent to project assignments.

* Work toward keeping current tasks within schedule and budget to fit the needs of the project.

* Provide input and coordination with other departments.

* Provide data, as required, for cost estimating, and secure preliminary equipment costs for reviews.

* Investigate new methods and implement new ideas and/or procedures that will benefit the firm and its clients.

* Serve as Project Manager for projects that primarily require work within own group but may also require coordination with other groups and the client.

**Qualifications**

**Qualifications**

* Minimum Experience - Four (4) years including work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques. MS degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Must be prepared to undertake independent action.

* Education (Minimum) - B.S. degree in Engineering

* Certification - Professional Engineer Registration.
