FreightCar America is Hiring a Warehouse Materials Handler Near Johnstown, PA
Job Overview
Handle standard/non-standard railcar/non-railcar parts and components. Ship and receive material within a warehouse environment, in addition to the maintenance of inventory and quality functions. All functions must be completed with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Operate Fork Truck/Associated Lifting Devices to Load and Unload Trucking.
Understand and Handle the Process of Inventory Control i.e. Shipping, Receiving, etc.
Operate crane and hoists.
Assist Production in Cycle Counting/Counting/Physical Maintenance.
Package, Stage, and Finalize Paperwork for Completed Orders.
Maintain Presentation and Order of the Warehouse (tool placement, disposal of garbage/packaging, etc.
Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
An employee in this position should have the following education/certifications, work experience, and skill set:
Education/Certification:
- Education, training and/or experience should include knowledge of blueprint reading, mathematics, and visualizing dimensions.
Work Experience:
- Prior Railcar Experience Preferred
- Manufacturing/Warehouse Experience
- Fork Truck/Crane Certification or Experience
- Interpretation of Blueprints Preferred
- Metal/Alloy Handling Experience
