This position is an IT/customer relations position that requires a friendly, patient and professional disposition to provide support in our Google Workspace or Microsoft environment. You are the ideal candidate if you are someone that is able to interact well with staff, faculty, students and parents alike and are a team player.
Frequently, you are called upon when someone is in a difficult situation and expected to remain calm, patient and friendly while assisting the user in solving their issue(s).
This position reports directly to the Director of IT while working closely with the Assistant Director direct assistance while independently troubleshooting tech issues or policies and you must be willing to travel between all three campuses (2 in Mamaroneck and 1 in Larchmont). From a technical perspective, you are able to troubleshoot network devices (servers (Microsoft), switches, WAPs (Unifi) and user devices like Chromebooks, PC laptops and Macs.
You are the right person for this job if you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to work honorably, independently handling many different products such as GoGuardian, JAMF, Adobe, Papercut, Blackbaud, Microsoft and Google Enterprise. Familiarity with iOS, MacOS, Windows & Chrome OS as well as an experienced help desk support person that makes customer service #1.
You are comfortable setting up livestream and other events, while working with systems like access control as well as providing comprehensive support including setting up classroom and staff workstations, preparing PC images and installing and managing all manner of peripherals.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
Experience: 2 years of IT experience (school experience preferred)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
