Position: Warehouse Associate

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Frensco Building Products with headquarters in Woodside, NY is opening its second location in Piscataway, NJ. We are a Wholesale Building Materials Distributor seeking a responsible, reliable and punctual full-time Forklift Driver. The associate will operate forklifts and pick material per order specifications. This individual will work directly with the Warehouse & Logistics Departments to unload inbound shipments, load outbound shipments onto flatbed trucks and trailers, and meet standards that reflect the quality work and safe practices of our company. The Forklift Driver reports to the Operations Manager.

Forklift Driver Responsibilities & Duties:

Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or manually.

• Efficiently stack and store products in their designated areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets company standards.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report damaged material to Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor prior to loading/unloading.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together. Load or unload materials onto or off pallets/skids.
• Efficiently move products from staging and/or storage areas onto flatbed trailers.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation. Count and record the number of units of materials moved or handled in accordance with existing company practices.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Responsible for daily paperwork and proper completion of all company documents.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Repetitive heavy lifting, bending, pulling and pushing.
• Additional maintenance and warehouse duties as required by Management.

Forklift Driver Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Above average oral and written communications skills.
• Understands the importance of detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Communicate effectively with customers in a professional manner.

• Anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

Education and Experience:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must also have 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or coordination.
• Must have Forklift Training Certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
