The CNA Instructor shall be an expert on the state of Pennsylvania Nurse Aide training curriculum. You'll serve as an advisor, trainer, educator, and evaluator and support the goals related to nurse aide students' training and retention.You'll assist in creating, revising, updating, and implementing any policies, procedures, forms, and educational materials related to the CNA training class. You'll be responsible for the lecture, training, and clinical of nurse aide students through testing and certification.

Job Functions :

• Complete retention tracking with class attendees.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes and updates, as needed.
• Research other training methods, materials, and resources.
• Guide and support nurse aide students through testing and certification.
• Actively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives of our residents through our dedicated approach to training and retention
• Prepare lesson plans based on the nurse aide curriculum.
• Effectively communicate and train nurse aide students.
• Facilitate regular CNA Training classes.
• Communicate with the Administrator and Director of Nursing any concerns with CNA students progress throughout the class.
• Complete Skills Check off and promote proficiency.
• Evaluate nurse aides upon completion of the class for assurance of knowledge obtained policies.

Qualifications for CNA Instructor :

• Possess a current and unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania.
• At least two years of nursing experience as an RN.
• Have at least one year in the provision of long-term care service as an RN. This includes meeting the resident's psychosocial, behavioral, cognitive, and physical needs through direct care, supervision, or education. Long-term care experience must include a minimum of 200 hours over one full year.
