Job Summary:

Applies protective coating to primary metal products using an approved dip method of application.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cleans and prepares primary metal products for application of protective coatings.
• Applies protective coating to primary metal products using dip method.
• Visually inspects parts for proper coverage.
• Good attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a loud noise level environment. This position regularly works near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and tools. This position regularly works in outside weather conditions.

Personal Protective Equipment:

The employee must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes at all times.

The following personal protective equipment is required and must be worn at all times while performing the duties of this job and while in marked designated areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must wear approved safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and an approved respirator.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and/or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
