Position Title : Production Operator

Reports to : CAF Supervisor or IAF Supervisor, North America

Department : Operations

Location : Hopkinsville, KY

Position Type : Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for operating a production line for filter converting, ensuring adherence to Company standards for safety, clean environment, quality and productivity while meeting customer requirements.

Entry Level

  • Responsible for the line performance regarding output, quality, and uptime.
  • Ensures accuracy of production data reported by production board and pdc.
  • Ensure production processes remain compliant with all Quality Policy.
  • Ensure conformance to safety, environmental, housekeeping, and 5S standards.

Operator Level 1

  • Consistently demonstrates results for the line performance regarding output, quality, and uptime.
  • Ensures accuracy of production data reported by production board and pdc.
  • Ensure production processes remain compliant with all Quality Policy.
  • Participates in rotation schedule, cross-training, and shift handover.
  • Ensure conformance to safety, environmental, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
  • Successful completion of all training on scheduled line.
  • Must achieve and maintain acceptable performance review for Level 1.

Operator Level 2

  • Consistently demonstrate acceptable performance as Operator Level 1.
  • Successful completion of all training on 2 or more lines.
  • Consistently demonstrates results for (2 or more) lines performance regarding output, quality, and uptime.
  • Must achieve and maintain acceptable performance review for Level 2.

Master Operator

  • Highly flexible operator who can operate at any work center
  • Successfully meets Operator Level 2

Education / Certification

High school diploma or GED required.

Knowledge / Experience

Core competencies

  • High level of commitment, creativity, teamwork and goal oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Demands

  • Job requires regular (67% or greater of time) walking, standing, sitting and constant visual attention.
  • Occasional (25% - 33% of the time) lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, and handling may be needed
  • Work environment will often include exposure to heat, cold, noise, chemicals and dust
  • Exposure to moving machinery requires strong awareness to safety
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to include overtime, varying schedules / shifts (night and weekends
