We are unexpectedly re-posting this position as one of our groomers will be going down to part-time or leaving. This position can now be full or part-time due to this. Due to the training involved we are looking for someone who plans to stay for a minimum of two years and there will be a contract stating this as repayment for training.

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, hardworking, dedicated, nice, people friendly, pet friendly, cooperative, willing to work with others, dependable, willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy, reliable groomer to come work with us in our shop.

In shop training can provided and you must be willing to follow our procedures/methods and be open to feedback. This position forms customer relationships and schedules are tightly booked, therefore attendance is of utmost importance.

Opportunity for full time or possibly part-time position. Every other Saturday likely required. Open communication needed. MUST be able to lift large dogs 70lbs and be able to stand on your feet all day. Expectation is 6 small dogs a day once fully trained. This is HARD work and is not playing with puppies all day. Be prepared to get dirty, clean up poo and pee etc. It happens almost daily.

Must have reliable transportation.

Please be fun to work with and love animals. Taking direction in a non-defensive way is a must.

Position is an employee position, W2 hourly commission tips. All supplies provided (shampoos, brushes etc). Clippers and scissors provided if needed and may be purchased in installments. Shop is very busy with a wait list - you won't have to worry about having dogs to groom! Benefits include large discounts in retail supplies (pet food, toys, supplements etc).

During training pay will be $11/hour plus tips and store discount. Typically position will gross around $31-43K a year including tips.

We are a rescue friendly shop which adopts out homeless cats and kittens. We are a positive reinforcement salon and do not use or promote aversive training methods.
